1. Understand the Basics
Before diving into the Smart Film DIY process, it's essential to understand what smart film is. Composed of a PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) layer, when voltage is applied, the liquid crystals align, making the film transparent. When the power is off, the film becomes opaque, granting privacy on demand.

3. The Installation Steps
Preparation: Clean your glass surface thoroughly, ensuring no dirt or debris remains. This step is crucial as any residual particles can affect the film's appearance and adhesion.
Wetting the Surface: Use the soapy water spray to wet the glass surface. This facilitates easy adjustments of the film once it's placed.
Applying the Smart Film: Carefully peel off the protective layer from one side of the film. Place the sticky side on the wet glass, adjusting and positioning as required.
Smoothing Out: Use the squeegee to push out any air bubbles and ensure the film is firmly adhered to the glass. Start from the center and work your way outwards.
Electrical Setup: Connect the wires from the film to a switch and power source, ensuring all connections are safe and secure. Remember, safety first!
Testing: Once everything is in place, flip the switch. Your smart film should transition from opaque to transparent and vice versa.
